PURPOSE: A timing controller test device of a liquid crystal display device and a method thereof are provided to reduce efficiency and costs for manufacturing the liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: A test chip(110) generates test data for testing timing controllers of the same type or different types and applies the test data to timing controllers respectively. The timing controllers are mounted in test sockets(130). A clock generating unit(150) generates reference clocks for driving the timing controllers respectively and supplies the reference clocks to the timing controllers. A display unit(160) displays test results of the timing controllers. The test chip receives test output signals from the timing controllers. The received test output signals are compared with the reference signals respectively to determine whether the timing controllers are normal or abnormal. |
