PURPOSE: An attachment device for an overlay strip is provided to prevent the half-finished product of a tread from being excessively pressed by a pressing roller by controlling the vertical movement of the pressing roller and/or the pressure of an air cylinder. CONSTITUTION: An attachment device for an overlay strip comprises an extruder(11) for supplying an overlay strip, a two-roll calendar(13), a conveyor belt(12) for feeding, a cooling drum(14), a strip attaching unit(20), and an accumulator(15). A sheet-type rubber is put into the extruder. The extruder extrudes the sheet-type rubber into a strip rubber. The two-roll calendar forms an overlay strip rubber by rolling the strip rubber. The conveyor belt transfers the strip rubber extruded from the extruder to the two-roll calendar. The cooling drum cools the rolled overlay strip rubber. The strip attaching unit attaches the cooled overlay strip rubber on the bottom end of the half-finished product of a tread. The accumulator is installed between the cooling drum and the strip attaching unit and compensates a deviation between the speed of a conveyor line for supplying a tread and the supplying speed of the overlay strip rubber.
