摘要 A vehicle stability control method is provided to increase reliability of ESP(Electronic Stability Program) control performance by using the lateral and vertical acceleration/deceleration of a vehicle as a real road condition judging value. A vehicle stability control method for controlling stability of a vehicle by using steering angle, wheel speed, and yaw rate sensors detecting motion information of the vehicle comprises the steps of: estimating yaw rate that a driver wants, according to the steering angle and vehicle speed detected by the steering angle and vehicle speed sensors(S110); measuring the yaw rate of the vehicle according to the yaw rate detected by the yaw rate sensor(S120); calculating a yaw rate error according to difference between the measured yaw rate and the estimated yaw rate(S130); and judging the state of the road by comparing the calculated yaw rate error with a pre-set reference value(S150).
