PURPOSE: A bus bending apparatus is provided to accurately and simply set a bending angle of a material and bend the material by converting a hydraulic cylinder at the moment when the rotating amount detected by an encoder reaches the set bending angle. CONSTITUTION: A bus bending apparatus comprises a fixed mold(90), a moving mold(59), a hydraulic cylinder, a rotating motion converting unit(62), a linear motion converting unit(63), an encoder(64), and a control unit. The rotating motion converting unit is installed on the protruding leading end of the moving mold and changes the forward linear motion of the moving mold into the rotating motion proportional to a displacement from the time of the initial contact of the moving mold to the bus bar material. The linear motion converting unit is installed on the upper side of the moving mold to change the rotating motion of the moving mold into the linear motion again. The encoder convents the backward linear motion of the moving mold into the rotating amount to be detected. The control unit detects the advancing distance of the moving mold through feedback of the encoder and changes the operating direction of the hydraulic cylinder.
