LIGHT-EMITTING MATERIAL AND ORGANIC EL ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new blue light-emitting material formed using a silicon-crosslinked indole derivative, and to provide a new organic EL element formed using the blue light-emitting material.

SOLUTION: The organic EL element 2 has a light-emitting layer 12 provided between a transparent electrode 4 and a back electrode 6. The light-emitting layer 12 is configured of a light-emitting material containing: an anthracene derivative as a host compound; and the silicon-crosslinked indole derivative as a dopant compound. The organic EL element 2 has high luminous efficiency and has long light-emission lifetime.
