<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for controlling an operation of an air conditioner including a plurality of combined refrigeration cycle systems. <P>SOLUTION: When a present situation is a pump cycle operation state, a refrigerant pump 9a of a system (system A) of low load is stopped first when ΔT≤T2, and then an operation of a compressor of the system is started. Then, a system (system B) of high load is similarly switched. Further, when the present situation is a compressing cycle operation state, a compressor of one of the systems is stopped first, when the present state meets a switching condition (ΔT≥T1), and then a refrigerant pump operation of the system is started.
