<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PLC/electric power supply hybrid device and a device having telecommunication function in which the components are shared between a power line communication (PLC) function and a power supply function in order to reduce cost, size, power consumption, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: A PLC/electric power supply hybrid device 1 includes a power supply circuit 10. The power supply circuit 10 includes a switching means 31 for performing chopping with regard to a voltage of a voltage input end part 20 and a control circuit 32 for controlling the chopping by controlling the switching of the switching means 31. The control circuit 32 operates in a normal mode for converting voltage and a transmission mode for transmitting data by means of a PLC using a power line that communicates to a voltage input end part 20.
