COOLING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device capable of providing stable images with less image density change when a temperature of a developer is low such as a time immediately after applying a power under a low temperature environment by raising the developer temperature to a prescribed temperature in a short time.

SOLUTION: A cooling device 1 comprises: cooling liquid jackets 61Y-61K mounted on developing devices 27Y-27K; a tank 63 for accumulating the cooling liquid; a pump 65 for supplying the cooling liquid L; a radiator 67 and a cooling fan 68; and a tube 69 for circulating the cooling liquid L. The cooling device further includes first temperature sensors 71Y-71K for detecting the temperature of the developing devices, and a second temperature sensor 73 for detecting the temperature of the cooling liquid L, and controls the drive of the pump 65 and the cooling fan 68 according to first-third control patterns based on the detection results.
