PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEM ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an execution environment for implementing integrated control, simulation and display environment for allowing an advanced control activity, a simulation activity and a display activity.

SOLUTION: Smart process objects are used to create one or more graphic display screens and one or more process simulation modules. A control module can use simulated data which are created by the process modules. The process modules can perform simulation by using actual plant data from the control module. The graphic display screens are used to display actual process data as created by the control module and the process modules and/or simulated process data.
