<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition having excellently low heat build-up, and to provide a pneumatic tire. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition is obtained by compounding a surface-treated silica treated with a sulfur-containing silane coupling agent and a modified liquid polymer, or a surface-treated silica treated with the sulfur-containing silane coupling agent, an amino silane coupling agent and the modified liquid polymer, in a rubber component. For example, a terminal-modified diene-based liquid polymer having a functional group such as an amino group, a carboxy group, an acid anhydride group, an epoxy group and a hydroxy group introduced to the terminal of the polymer is used as the modified liquid polymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
