PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing Hong-ju by distillation is provided to enhance fermentation efficiency and to ensure rich taste and preservation property. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing Hong-ju by distillation comprises: a step of preparing hard-boiled rice using a steamer and mixing with water; a step of inoculating distiller's grain with bred yeast; a step of adding water and culturing at 25-30 degrees Celsius for 24 hours; a step of adding the bred yeast and hard-boiled rice to a first fermentation liquid; a step of adding water and fermenting at 25-30 degrees Celsius for 5-7 days; a step of concentrating the fermented liquid to prepare concentrate; a step of mixing the concentrate to second fermented liquid; a step of fermenting at 25-30 degrees Celsius for 1-2 days; and a step of distilling the third fermentation and leaching Lithospermum erythrorhizon to the spirits.
