<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and efficiently perform storage to an optical disk by microhologram. <P>SOLUTION: Parallel opposite propagation light beams (30, 34) overlap and form an interference pattern over many data tracks (12) of a hologram disk (10) in a data layer. When the disk (10) is rotated, parallel recording of microhologram (68) over the many data tracks (12) can be performed, shortening a recording time in this way. An irradiation pattern can include irradiation spots and a non-irradiation area, each irradiation spot is enabled to cover a relatively small part of a data layer flat surface, and the depth and width of the microhologram (12) to be recorded can be controlled.
