<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection device that is highly convenient for a user and is able to realize a multipoint conference without using a mixer. <P>SOLUTION: A connection device according to this invention is a server 104 for establishing a connection between terminals 101 to 103 for a multipoint conference in which the terminals 101 to 103 directly transmit/receive media data therebetween, the server 104 including a participant terminal information acquiring unit 202 and an opposite terminal information acquiring unit 203 for acquiring media information of the terminals 101 to 103, a holding unit 204 for transmitting to the terminal 101 a first message, which does not start the transmission of the media data to the terminals 102 and 103, when the media information about the terminals 102 and 103 are not acquired, and a communication starting unit 205 for transmitting to the terminal 101 a second message, which includes the media information about the terminal 102 and starts the transmission of the media data to the terminal 102, when the media information about the terminal 102 is acquired after the transmission of the first message. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
