SECONDARY BATTERY AND BATTERY PACK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery which can be assembled into a battery pack at a lower cost than that in the case where the secondary battery using a laminate film and easily laminated.

SOLUTION: The secondary battery 100 includes: an electrode group 40 including a positive electrode 10 and a negative electrode 20; an outer container 60 including an outer can 70 in which the electrode group 40 is housed and a sealing plate 80 which seals over the whole circumference of an opening 73 of the outer can 70; and an electrolytic solution directly filled into the outer container 60, and has a shape in which the outer bottom surface 71a of the outer can 70 and the outer top surface 81a of the sealing plate 80 are substantially fitted to each other.
