<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit capable of surely averaging a temperature rise in plural liquid crystal panels, and a projection type display device having the optical unit. <P>SOLUTION: An optical unit 9 used for a projection type display device includes a prism unit 20, a first electro-optic module 10(B), a second electro-optic module 10(G), a third electro-optic module 10(R) as well as a cooling member 800 composed of a duct 810 coupled to the first electro-optic module 10(B), the second electro-optic module 10(G) and the third electro-optic module 10(R) for cooling the first electro-optic module 10(B), the second electro-optic module 10(G) and the third electro-optic module 10(R). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
