<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce sliding noise generated between a belt and a drive pulley and to prevent 'slippage' by water retention. <P>SOLUTION: A drum-type washer comprises: a rotation drum 33 rotationally supported in a water receiver 32, which is supported in a washer main body 31; a motor 20 fixed at the outer bottom portion of the water receiver 32; a drive pulley 2 configured at a shaft end of the motor 20; a rotational axis 35 fixed to the rotational drum 33 at one end; a driven pulley 37 fixed at the other end of the rotational axis 35; and a belt 38 for transferring the rotation of the motor 20 to the driven pulley 37. A waterproof cover 1 having a substantially U-shaped cross section and covering an outer circumference of the drive pulley 2, is attached to the motor 20, thereby preventing diffusion of noise generated by sliding friction between the drive pulley 2 and the belt 38 as well as 'slippage' caused by water retention on the sliding portions of the drive pulley 2 and the belt 38, consequently preventing impairing performance due to rotation decrease or the like in washing and dehydrating processes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
