<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gauze count holder which is excellent in operatability and is improved so as to be able to effectively prevent the count error of gauze used in surgical operation. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of boss parts 15, 35 are arranged facing each other at an interval in a longitudinal direction in two elongate plate materials 10, 30 constituting the gauze count holder and the boss parts each have oscillatable nail-shape flaps 16, 36. Holding nails 50 are constituted by connecting the distal ends of the facing nail-shape flaps 16, 36 themselves and the adjacent two holding nails 50, 50 function as holding parts A for holding one sheet of the gauze. The adjacent two holding nails 50, 50 themselves bring the distal ends of them into close contact with each other to hold the gauze when closing both the plate materials 10, 30.
