<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte battery by which a nonaqueous electrolyte battery having a stack of battery elements each having a bipolar electrode can be manufactured simply, readily, and efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte battery is formed by stacking and connecting, in series, a plurality of battery elements 10 each having a bipolar electrode including a current collector 11, a positive active material layer 12 formed one face of the current collector, and a negative active material layer 13 formed on the other face of the current collector. The battery element 10 has solid electrolytic layers 14 formed on the positive active material layer 12 and the negative active material layer 13 respectively. The method for manufacturing the battery comprises: forming a positive active material layer on one face of a current collector material having a large area; forming a negative active material layer on the other face thereof; forming a solid electrolytic layer on both of the positive and negative active material layers; splitting the material thus formed into battery elements 10; and stacking and connecting the battery elements 10 in series. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
