<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment system for controlling, while underway, the concentration of sodium hypochlorite in a ballast water within a ballast tank. <P>SOLUTION: A ballast water treatment system includes: a ballast water supply line 107 for connection between an intake opening 104 and a ballast tank 103; a chemical supply device 101 connected with the line 107, and for supplying sodium hypochlorite aqueous solution to the line 107 for sterilization treatment to kill aquatic microorganism in the liquid taken in from the intake opening 104; and a chemical adding line 102 one end of which is connected to the chemical supply device 101 and the other end of which to the ballast tank 103 separately from the ballast water supply line 107. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
