<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine that prevents deterioration due to corrosion in an EGR system, in the internal combustion engine including the EGR system. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes: the internal combustion engine 10 having a plurality of cylinders; an EGR passage 42 for flowing exhaust gas of a first cylinder group (#2 and #3 cylinders) among the plurality of cylinders divided into two groups of the first and a second cylinder group back to an intake passage; an EGR catalyst 44 located in the middle of the EGR passage 42; and an air-fuel ratio controller for each independently controlling air-fuel ratios of the plurality of cylinders. When a fuel increase request is made to the internal combustion engine 10, the air-fuel ratio controller performs air-fuel ratio control for controlling an air-fuel ratio of the first cylinder group to a lean side than the theoretical air-fuel ratio and controlling an air-fuel ratio of the second cylinder group to rich than the theoretical air-fuel ratio. When a bed temperature of the EGR catalyst 44 is lower than a decomposition temperature of ammonium chloride (337°C) after the performance of air-fuel ratio control, catalyst-temperature increase control of the EGR catalyst 44 is preferably performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
