<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an optical material by downsizing a manufacturing apparatus of the optical material and stabilizing the weight of every droplet in the manufacturing apparatus and method of the optical material. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of an optical material includes a glass material insertion step of inserting a solid glass material (glass rod 101) from a supply port (upper end 11p) of a nozzle 11, a heat melting step of heat melting the glass material (101) in the nozzle 11, and a liquid droplet-making step of forcibly extruding the melted glass 102 from a front end opening (lower end 11q) of the nozzle 11 to make liquid droplets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
