<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte, reducing the weight of a negative electrode by improving initial coulombic efficiency, thereby having high energy density; a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery; and a method for producing the positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided: a positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, represented as Li(Li<SB POS="POST">a</SB>Mn<SB POS="POST">b</SB>Ni<SB POS="POST">c</SB>Co<SB POS="POST">d</SB>Fe<SB POS="POST">e</SB>)O<SB POS="POST">2-x</SB>F<SB POS="POST">x</SB>(here, 0<a≤0.33, 0<b≤0.67, 0≤c<1, 0≤d<1, 0≤e<1, 0.05<x≤1-b, and the following expression (1) are satisfied); a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery manufactured using the active material; and a method for producing the positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
