摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and surely manufacture a high quality electrolyte membrane and electrode structure which makes it possible to position a porous diffusion layer with high accuracy by using a simple process. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of an electrolyte membrane and electrode structure 10 includes a process of preparing a positioning part in the outer periphery of gas diffusion layers 28a and 28b, a process of applying a coating of ground layers 26a and 26b to the surface of the gas diffusion layers 28a and 28b relative to the positioning part, a process of obtaining a laminate with a solid polymer electrolyte membrane 18 held in place between a pair of the gas diffusion layers 28a and 28b relative to the positioning part, a process of integrating a pair of the gas diffusion layers 28a and 28b and the solid polymer electrolyte membrane 18 together by hot-pressing the laminate, and a process of eliminating, along with the positioning part, an outer peripheral trimming part of the laminate which has now been turned into an integral body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
