<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition excellent in adhesion to conductors, rarely causing fusion between the coating layers of insulated wires, and having high mechanical properties and excellent flame retardancy, heat resistance, and weather resistance, and to provide an insulated wire using the same. <P>SOLUTION: There is disclosed a flame-retardant resin composition prepared by heating and kneading a mixture having a composition of (A) 100 pts.mass resin component comprising (a) 30-70 mass% ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and/or ethylene-acrylic ester copolymer, (b) 10-30 mass% ethylene-α-olefin copolymer not modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid, (c) 5-20 mass% polypropylene resin not modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid, (d) 1-15 mass% polyolefin resin not modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid, and (e) 5-30 mass% styrenic thermoplastic elastomer, (B) 50-150 pts.mass metal hydrate, (C) 1-15 pts.mass silica, and (D) 0.01-1.0 pt.mass organic peroxide at the melting temperature of the resin component (A) or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
