VIBRATION SUPPRESSING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structurally simple and inexpensive vibration suppressing device that facilitates work of attachment to a columnar structure and that effectively suppresses vibrations of the columnar structure.

SOLUTION: A vibration suppressing device includes a plate material 3 that is curved in an approximately semi-circular shape, and an attachment band 2 that is fixed to an outer periphery of a columnar structure 1. The plurality of plate materials 3 are provided along an outer peripheral surface of the columnar structure 1 in the state of facing one another. The attachment band 2 is looped around each of two proper locations on the outer periphery of the plate material 3 so that these plate materials 3 can be fixed to the outer periphery of the columnar structure 1.
