<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device of reflection type which can attain sufficiently high luminance compared with a conventional one and prevents color unevenness in light-emitting points in a phosphor layer. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device of reflection type is provided with a solid light source 5 which emits light of a prescribed wavelength out of the wavelength regions from ultraviolet light to visible light, a phosphor layer 2 including at least one kind of phosphor which is excited by excitation light from the solid light source 5 and emits light of fluorescence with a longer wavelength than the emission wavelength of the solid light source 5, and a light reflecting substrate 6 which is installed on a surface on opposite side to the incident face of the excitation light out of the surface of the phosphor layer 2. The solid light source 5 and the phosphor layer 2 are arranged separated spatially. The shape and cross-section of beams on the incident face of the phosphor layer of the excitation light from the solid light source 5 entering into the phosphor layer 2 are nearly equal to the shape and area of the whole incident face of the phosphor layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
