<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle control device that prevents a gear shifting shock due to a slip engagement from occurring, even when a braking operation is made during or at the completion time of gear shift controlling under a regenerative controlling. <P>SOLUTION: An integrated controller determines whether an automatic transmission is making transmission control during a regenerative controlling of a motor/generator (Step SA1). When the determination result of the Step SA1 is YES, the controller determines whether a brake pedalling force is increased, that is, whether the braking operation is made (Step SA2). When the determination result of the Step SA2 is YES, that is, When the braking operation is made, the controller restricts the increase of regenerative torque of the motor/generator and makes a braking control (Step SA3).
