The system has a fresh air supply device opened out in an interior (3) of a building to be ventilated to supply fresh air to the interior. Walls (4) of the building enclosing the interior are partially formed as hollow walls whose cavity (16) flows through by air. The cavity is connected with the interior over the supply device and with an environment over an air-permeable filling (2) formed from granular material. The filling is attached to the building and an underground. The supply device is formed by a set of air inlet openings (14) provided in an area of a ceiling (5).
