<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary connector device capable of preventing damage to a conductor part of a flat cable caused by projections or the like generated on a rotary roller. <P>SOLUTION: A rotary connector device comprises: a stator; a rotator which is rotatable relative to the stator; a base ring arranged between the stator and the rotator; a flexible flat cable 14; and a rotary roller. The flexible flat cable 14 has a conductor part 14a and is capable of electrically connecting the stator side and the rotator side to each other. The rotary roller is rotatably supported by the base ring and guides the flexible flat cable 14 by bringing its outer peripheral surface into contact with the flexible flat cable 14. The rotary roller is molded with a mold. If a surface including a parting line formed on the outer peripheral surface of the rotary roller at the time of molding is regarded as a virtual surface 90, the virtual surface 90 is perpendicular to an axis of the rotary roller and does not overlap the conductor part 14a of the flexible flat cable 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
