<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine which is cooled by using a refrigerant such as oil and has sufficient cooling performance. <P>SOLUTION: A rotating electric machine includes a mesh-like oil guiding part 30 covering a coil end part 25 from an outer side in the radial direction. Due to this configuration, oil supplied from an oil supply part 40 passes through the oil guiding part 30 to come into contact with the coil end part 25 located on the radial inner side of the oil guiding part 30, and flows in the circumferential direction due to surface tension of the oil guiding part 30, thereby sufficiently cooling the coil end part 25. The surface tension of the oil guiding part 30 increases as a total sum of lengths of a resin thread in the circumferential direction and the resin thread in the axial direction increases. Thus, the surface tension at a level allowing the oil to spread over the circumferential direction while coming into contact with the coil end part 25 is exhibited. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
