<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for carbon dioxide coating and a device for the same, while reducing environmental load. <P>SOLUTION: In carbon dioxide coating that partially or wholly substitutes carbon dioxide for diluting solvent (thinner), the carbon dioxide coating device includes: a tank storing paint; a tank storing liquid carbon dioxide; a cooler cooling the liquid carbon dioxide; a mixer mixing the pressurized paint with the pressurized carbon dioxide; and a spray gun spraying the mixture of the pressurized paint and carbon dioxide supplied from the mixer, to an object to be coated under atmospheric pressure. The coating device includes: as a branch line, a primary pressure regulating valve is provided between the mixture and the spray gun, for regulating the pressure of the mixture of the pressurized paint and carbon dioxide and discharging the surplus pressure under the atmospheric pressure; a shut-off valve (V-2) provided upstream of the primary pressure regulating valve; a shut-off valve (V-3) provided downstream of a branch line merging point, between the mixture and the spray gun; and a shut-off valve (V-4) and carbon dioxide introduction pipe which supply high-pressure carbon dioxide, which are provided downstream the shut-off valve (V-3). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
