Provided are: a carbon nanofiber dispersion liquid having superior dispersion properties and dispersion stability; a carbon-nanofiber-containing coating composition produced by the dispersion liquid; and a paste composition. The carbon nanofiber dispersion liquid contains a solvent, carbon nanofibers, an alkanolamine, and a chelating agent. Preferably, the alkanolamine is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of monoisopropanolamine, diisopropanolamine, and triisopropanolamine, and the chelating agent is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of an aminocarboxylic acid chelate, a phosphonic acid chelate, a gluconic acid chelate, and an organic acid. |
