<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heliostat capable of collecting light at a high efficiency and suppressed in production cost and installation cost, and to provide a method of controlling the same. <P>SOLUTION: The heliostat 1 includes a reflector 2 reflecting sunlight, and a support mechanism 3 tiltably supporting the reflector 2. The support mechanism 3 has one support column 4, a first cylinder 5, and a second cylinder 6, and tiltably supports a back surface of the reflector 2 via an upper end 4t of the support column 4, an upper end 5t of the first cylinder 5, and an upper end 6t of the second cylinder 6. The upper end 4t of the support column, the upper end 5t of the first cylinder, and the upper end 6t of the second cylinder are disposed in a manner of forming a triangle at the back surface of the reflector 2, and the upper end of the support column and the reflector are connected by a gimbal support bearing configured tiltably along two intersecting axes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
