DOUBLE-SIDED COATING APPARATUS AND DOUBLE-SIDED COATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an excellent double-sided simultaneous coating using a coating head used for a single-sided coating.

SOLUTION: A double-sided coating apparatus includes: a delivery mechanism 20 that delivers a base material S in the delivery direction and a first coating head 31 arranged on a surface S1 side of the base material S for coating a coating liquid D by alternately forming a coating region Sa and a non-coating region Sb in a direction crossing a delivery direction; a second coating head 41 arranged on a back surface S2 side of the base material S for coating the coating liquid by alternately forming the coating region Sa and the non-coating region Sb in the direction crossing the delivery direction; and a coating roller 42 arranged near a position on the surface S1 of the base material S and opposite to the second coating head 41 across the base material S and having a small-diameter portion 42a and a large-diameter portion 42b with different diameters along an axial direction with the small-diameter portion 42a opposite to the coating region Sa and the large-diameter portion 42b opposite to the non-coating region Sb.
