<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obstacle recognition device for accurately recognizing detailed information such as on a position and a size of an obstacle by optimally using radar information on the obstacle around an own vehicle and image information photographed by an on-vehicle camera. <P>SOLUTION: The obstacle recognition device of the invention comprises: radar information acquisition means for acquiring the radar information on the obstacle with radar; obstacle classification means for classifying the obstacle into a first obstacle or a second obstacle according to the radar information; and obstacle recognition means for recognizing the obstacle according to the radar information and the image information when the obstacle is classified into the first obstacle, and according to the radar information when the obstacle is classified into the second obstacle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
