<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a switching arm of an inverter circuit as a charging circuit. <P>SOLUTION: An on-vehicle device 2 converts an electric power of a secondary battery 3 into a three-phase alternating current by an inverter circuit 4 and supplies the power to a three-phase rotary electric machine 5. When an alternating-current power source 6 is connected to the on-vehicle device 2, the alternating-current power source 6 can charge the secondary battery 3. A part of switching arms 4a and 4b constituting the inverter circuit 4 constitutes a step-up type second power inverter circuit 50 which steps up the electric power from the alternating-current power source 6. Furthermore, a part of the switching arm 4c constituting the inverter circuit 4 constitutes a step-down type third power inverter circuit 60 which steps down the electric power from the second power inverter circuit 50. The charging circuit can be constituted by effectively utilizing the switching arm constituting the inverter circuit 4, and the secondary battery 3 can be charged when an electric voltage of the alternating-current power source 6 is higher than an electric voltage of the secondary battery 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
