<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which enables a user to safely execute a trial copy function, without making any operation error. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a display device displaying an information input screen and a touch panel superimposed and arranged on the display device and specifying a position specified on the information input screen. The image forming apparatus includes the trial copy function for making one copy and allowing the user to recognize the finish of the copy, when it is instructed that a predetermined number of copies of a document is made. In the image forming apparatus, when the trial copy function is specified and a copy start key displayed on the information input screen is depressed, one copy of the document is made, the copy start key is deleted from the information input screen, and a trial copy key 646, a trial end key 642, and a balloon 648 including help information are displayed.
