METHOD FOR INSPECTION OF FASTENING CONDITION OF SOFT GASKET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspection of fastening condition of a soft gasket in which deteriorated condition of the gasket can be obtained without detaching the gasket, a replacing timing of the gasket can be optimized according to the actual deteriorating condition, and quantity of work and physical quantity can be reduced while securing hermetic performance and healthy.

SOLUTION: The representative constitution of the method for inspecting the fastening condition of the soft gasket 100 is characterized in that the abutment surface of a flange 210 and the gasket is irradiated with ultrasound from the flange 210 of the piping 200 with the soft gasket 100 comprising a flexible gasket or a semimetal gasket fastened between opposing flanges 210 of the piping thereby the fastening condition is evaluated according to the intensity of the reflected wave of the ultrasound.
