<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simulate tire performance with respect to pitch noise while taking three-dimensional deformation of a tread pattern into consideration. <P>SOLUTION: A tire performance simulation method includes a step 100 of computing deformation of a tire body model due to rolling; steps 102, 104 of adding deformation of the tire body model as a border condition to elements of a tread block model on the side of the tire body model, and computing deformation of the tread block model in a state in which the tread block model is grounded on a road surface and a state in which the tread block model is not grounded on the road surface; a step 106 of computing as volume by time step differences in deformation of each element of each surface of the tread block model between the state in which the tread block model is grounded on the road surface and the state in which the tread block model is not grounded on the road surface; and a step 108 of integrating volume of each element by time step for each surface of the tread block model. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
