The method involves guiding vapor including small and suspended particles, driven out by a filtering medium (6), over a riser pipe into a cyclone chamber (9) of a vacuum low pressure boiler (3). The particles are separated from each other by turbulence. Liquid contained in the vapor is supplied with the suspended particles from a separating bottom (8) to a storage tank (10) by a separating bottom valve (11), and heating plates (7) e.g. heat exchangers, are cooled down as condensate over a drain pipe (20) while the cleaned vapor is provided. An independent claim is also included for a device for dehumidifying and cleaning solid/liquid mixtures.
