<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a photoelectric conversion element in which a planar organic layer can be formed by printing. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a photoelectric conversion element having a pair of electrodes, and one or more organic layers provided between the electrodes includes a step for preparing a substrate on which one of the pair of electrodes is provided, a step for forming an organic layer on the substrate, and a step for forming the other of the pair of electrodes. In the step for forming an organic layer, ink containing a material becoming the organic layer is applied on a transfer body which is provided, on the surface thereof, with a member composed of silicone rubber thus forming an ink film on the transfer body.
