<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine testing method and device capable of securing safety as well as easily performing preparatory work before a test. <P>SOLUTION: An engine testing device 10 comprises: a dynamometer 14 for applying a load to an engine 12 to be tested; and a control device 20 that controls the engine 12 and the dynamometer 14. The control device 20 comprises: a controller 40 that outputs a control command value; a simulation unit 42 that has a bench model modeling an actual machine unit including the engine 12 and the dynamometer 14 and inputs the control command value to the bench model to execute a simulation; and switching means 44 that switches an output destination of the control command value from the controller 40, based on a simulation result, between the simulation unit 42 and the actual machine unit. The switching means 44 switches the output destination of the control command value from the simulation unit 42 to the actual machine unit, when the simulation result at the simulation unit 42 is within a prescribed range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
