<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive device which reduces the amount of oil to be supplied to a friction member and efficiently cools the friction member and a rotary electric machine. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle drive device D includes an input member I to be connected to an internal combustion engine, an output member to be connected to wheels, a frictional engaging unit CL selectively connecting the input member I to the output member, and a rotary electric machine MG disposed on a power transmission path connecting the input member I to the output member. The vehicle drive device D has an oil storage chamber 11 which at least stores a friction member 10 of the frictional engaging unit CL and is filled with oil, a housing space S for storing the rotary electric machine MG, a first oil passage L1 for supplying oil to the oil storage chamber 11, a second oil passage L2 for discharging oil from the oil storage chamber 11, and a third oil passage L3 for supplying oil to the housing space S. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
