<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for protecting photographer's privacy and making information on a photographing place and photographing time usable for retrieval and display. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device acquires image data and attribute information to be recorded in association with the image data, and determines whether to generate low-accuracy attribute information which has lowered accuracy than that of the attribute information. When it is determined to perform generation, low-accuracy attribute information which has lowered accuracy is generated.
