<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a read processing method or write processing method associated with a recording medium, a parameter adjustment method, a storage device applied therewith, a computer system, and the recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The read processing method or write processing method associated with the recording medium includes the stages of: determining, as a group defect region, a region in which a defect exceeding an initially set critical size per track is caused on the recording medium; adjusting a first parameter value indicative of a logical track length based upon the defect size per track in the group defect region; and performing read processing or write processing applying the adjusted first parameter value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
