<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting edge replacement type tip which enables positional accuracy when attached to a holder to be enhanced and to provide a method for manufacturing the cutting edge replacement type tip. <P>SOLUTION: The cutting edge replacement type tip includes a rake face whose periphery has a polygonal shape and a flank connected to a side sandwiched by a pair of corners 11a and 11b adjacent to each other in the outer periphery of the rake face, wherein a side to be a line of intersection of the rake face and the flank is a cutting blade, a concave face 25 is included in a center part of the flank. The cutting edge replacement type tip satisfies conditions of 0.8≤b1/b2≤1.2 and 0.5≤(b1+b2)/a, wherein a denotes length of a line segment connecting one end point 16a to the other end point 16b, a first intersection 15a denotes one intersection of the section connected to the concave face 25, of the cutting blade and the line segment, b1 denotes length from the first intersection 15a to a bottom part 26, a second intersection 15b denotes the other intersection of the section connected to the concave face 25, of the cutting blade and the line segment and b2 denotes length from the second intersection 15b to the bottom part 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
