Provided is a hybrid driving apparatus for a vehicle, said apparatus being able to be selectively operated in a first running mode, in which electric power is generated by a first motor generator (MG1) using the motive power of an engine (12) and also in which a dedicated second motor generator (MG2) generates driving power for running, and in a second running mode, in which driving power for running is generated by the engine (12) and also in which assist driving power is generated by the first motor generator (MG1) and/or the second motor generator (MG2) as required. Furthermore, the first motor generator (MG1) receives a larger amount of supplied oil in the first running mode than in the second running mode, and sufficient cooling of electric motors can therefore be performed in accordance with the running mode.
