The module has multiple memory cells i.e. lithium ion memory cells, where each memory cell comprises a housing-free electrode assembly (3) e.g. foil, that is formed with anode films, cathode films and separator films. The separator films are arranged between the anode films and the cathode films. The electrode assemblies of the memory cells are in contact with each other in a common vapor impermeable housing (1). The anode, cathode and separator films are rolled up in the electrode assemblies. The common vapor impermeable housing comprises multiple chambers. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an electrical energy storage module.
