<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the printing speed and reduce power consumption in an ink jet recorder without deterioration in printing quality. <P>SOLUTION: An ink jet recorder includes a chamber 412 provided on the downstream side of an ink jet head 110 of a transfer path 111 for rolled paper 10 and a paper dryer 400 for circulating air through a plurality of ducts 411 and 413 connected to the chamber 412. The paper dryer 400 includes a heat pump 406 for separating droplets from moisture contained air returned after the shift of water from the paper 10, supplying it from the duct 411 on the supply side of the chamber 412 to the chamber 412 as high temperature dry gas heated to high temperature, shifting water of the paper 10 to a high temperature dry air side in the chamber 412, and returning the moisture contained air to which the water is shifted from the duct 413 on the exhaust side of chamber 412 to the inside of the paper dryer 400. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
