METHOD FOR PRODUCING 3-HYDROXYPROPIONIC ACID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing 3-hydroxypropionic acid (3HPA).

SOLUTION: The method for efficiently producing 3-hydroxypropionic acid includes the preparation of malonyl-CoA by reacting acetyl-CoA in the presence of an acetyl-CoA carboxylase and the production of 3-hydroxypropionic acid by reacting malonyl-CoA in the presence of a malonyl-CoA reductase or a malonic semialdehyde dehydrogenase and a 3-hydroxypropionic acid dehydrogenase, wherein the acetyl-CoA carboxylase is effective for increasing the amount of biosynthesis of malonyl-CoA.
